Dr. Monica Diaz is a board certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist. She grew up in San Antonio and earned a degree in Psychology from Baylor University. Dr. Diaz returned to San Antonio and received her medical degree from the UT Health Science Center. She completed her residency training at The Methodist Hospital in Houston,TX and has been on staff at Medical City Hospital since that time.
Dr. Diaz has served on several committees, including Performance Improvement, Tissue and Transfusion, and the Robotics Committee. She is a practicing partner with Carlos & Parnell, MD, PA, and provides both obstetric and gynecological services. She enjoys caring for women and providing community education.
Dr. Diaz specializes in the care of pregnant women, annual exams, gynecological issues, infertility, and surgery, with an interest in minimally invasive procedures, including robotics.
Dr. Diaz is a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Lakewood. She has been married to Dean Galvin since 2007 and they have two daughters, Nola and Elle.
