Summer is here!  We are all excited to spend time outside and with our families.  The Dallas and Ft. Worth areas are full of activities and places for families to venture out to while enjoying time together so let’s explore a few of them.

Klyde Warren Park is a family pleaser all the way around.  There is a play area for kids and even a water area to splash around in – kid and dog friendly.  There are a few restaurants that pepper the parameter of the park as well as food trucks galore.  You will not go hungry at this park.  If you happen to be at the park on a day that rain hits, you can run in to our next destination.

The Dallas Museum of Arts is right next to Klyde Warren Park.  There are always a variety of displays and exhibits to walk around on the various floors and there is a great area for kids!  Bonus, it’s very interactive and on the weekends there are free crafts for the kids.  The crafts always correspond with exhibits in the gallery so your kids will get extra learning opportunities.

Six Flags over Arlington wasn’t going to escape this list.  There are more rides than you can imagine!  The park has themed characters, food choices, and picnic areas, shopping areas and shows for all ages.  You will not go bored here.  Many times there are coupons and special deals for discounts to the park so check online before you head out to Arlington.

Cowtown in Ft. Worth is another great family destination for the summer.  You feel like a Texas cowboy in this area with all of the animals, cattle, rustic store fronts and BBQ.  There are lots of activities for families to participate in including a human maze!

Finally, to keep your families safe and happy at any summer destination please keep a few things in mind.  Make sure you wear sun screen and a hat with sunglasses if it’s going to be warm.  Second, bring water and make sure you stay hydrated while being out and about.  Also it’s a good idea to pack a few snacks for the trip especially if you have little ones that tend to get restless (and hungry!).  Lastly, have a place and time to meet if your family gets separated.

Let’s make it a fun and healthy summer.  Please make sure to call us if you have any health questions or concerns!
